    My initial idea for our third project, an informational, is a video to promote the release of an album and its stats on the top album/singles charts. This came to mind because music is one of the fields I hope to be hired for when I'm a graphic artist full-time. Musicians often have motion graphics in their advertisements to announce a new single or album, and I want to be able to experiment with this concept now so I can build the skillset on animating a poster and making typography really lively with motion graphics. I have yet to decide what artist or album to use, but both albums I've thought of have really distinct aesthetics that I could enhance in my video animations.

    I really like your concept! I think it would be really cool to make a promotion of an album release so this is a really interesting idea to me! I'm really curious to see which album you choose out of the two you listed because I feel like that'll determine how your infographic turns out! I also think including QR codes would be interesting but keep in mind how long you might need them to be on screen in case people want to scan them. This is a really cool idea though and I can't wait to see how it turns out!

      The tutorial I decided to follow was an infinite zoom effect. I want to expand on this technique and create a zooming effect between several landscapes. My original idea was to create an animated clip for a song, but I might be more interested in creating something more complex visually, and hopefully fun to draw up some landscapes by hand. My goal is to create a series of landscapes from a movie and create a consistent zoom effect as it passes through every scene. What I'm most interested in exploring is creating several moving parts within each landscape: clouds floating by, flags blowing in the wind, birds flying, things of that nature. My audio would be a monologue or quote clipped from the movie that fits to either 30 seconds or a minute. I'm deciding between Kiki's Delivery Service or Ratatouille.     The tutorial I followed is listed in the description of my Youtube Video!

PSA: Storyboard

 I've been trying to plan these projects to create examples of motion graphics that I would be interested in getting hired for. Since 2017, I have had a slight obsession with the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema when they opened a Raleigh location. I have always enjoyed going to the movies and it was even my first job bagging popcorn at a shitty Marquee Cinemas. What I loved most about the Alamo experience is their pre-movie screenings that are designed specifically for the movie you're about to see. Sometimes, they'll even get one of the actors to create the PSAs before the movie to encourage attendees to be follow the theater's rules. The Alamo's most famous rule is they're very strict on talking and texting; after one warning, you will be removed from the theater with no refund!
